We’ve been watching the novel COVID-19 situation as it evolves around the world. Every day brings new developments, but our top priority remains the health and well-being of all our students and customers. First off: We are still open and conducting scuba classes! Of course, the common question today is about the safeness of using rental equipment. Here at Rey Diving we would like to assure you that we are following the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations, as well as key scuba industry organizations, such as DAN and DEMA, all of that regarding the cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces and our rental equipment. According to the CDC, a bleach solution is appropriate and an effective sanitizer. We are using a 10% bleach solution, and/or Steramine solution to submerge our rental equipment after every use to sanitize equipment.
Regarding our scuba trips, we understand the concern about traveling abroad, so we will focus on our domestic trips, that means, our regular trips to Key Largo will remain as planned, also we are scheduling our summer trips to Dutch Springs, PA for open water checkouts, as well as few other trips to the Caribbean where is safe to travel.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns by emailing info@reydiving.com, or by calling 347-610-8733. Thank you! And let’s go dive!
