After the longest surface interval ever, which we forcibly had to take due to COVID-19, we finally took our first scuba trip of year 2021. Last February we choose the largest island in the Mexican Caribbean, Cozumel.
We had a beautiful long weekend, and we did 4 days of diving, 3 dives per day!
Cozumel is considered one of the 5 best dive destinations internationally, with reefs surrounding the island from 15 to 90 feet of depth, and spectacular coral formations featuring limestone tunnels, caves, and pinnacles.
Authorities in Cozumel had place strong covid protocols, which made us feel welcomed and safe!
48 to 72 hours before our departure from Cozumel, we took the covid test, which, since January 26th is a requirement to reenter the US. But that was not a problem, because it is easily done through the hospital in Cozumel, you just need to make an appointment, and the cost for the test is $35.
Also, food is always great in the island. We tried different restaurants and we went from the typical fish tacos and ceviche, to seafood pasta, and once we even ordered an entire fried fish!
Anyway, this trip was a total success. Customers were really happy, I was happy, and everybody else in the island was happy to see us!
