As the pandemic is —slowly but steadily being left behind, thanks to governments’ and people’s efforts all over the world, travel industry experts project a steep increase in travel sales in 2021. If you are a scuba/adventure traveler, as we are, you probably had some of your 2020 travel plans delayed or canceled all together.
Here at Rey Diving we are taking vengeance on traveling, in fact, you might have heard the term #revengetravel, referring to that once people get their confidence back on traveling, they will make traveling a priority.
As U.S. Travel president and CEO Roger Dow stated recently, “Accelerating the distribution of vaccines is the key to getting travel back to normal.” We also believe that as protocols are being established on scuba destinations, travelers eager to travel, will jump at it at the first opportunity, of course with the differences that will come in how we travel today, compared to prior years.
“Safety first” is Rey Diving’s motto from the beginning and will always be our priority, underwater as well as above water. Once we are safe in our scuba environment, we can have lots of fun, because scuba diving is indeed a lot of fun!
Aligned with the previous paragraph, Rey Diving’s principle # 5 states: “The best things come in small packages.” Our philosophy has always been small groups, not only because in that way we can offer a better instructor-to-student ratio, but because it is safer! And we can see what the new horizon looks like.
Rey Diving specializes in customized small-group scuba training and traveling, and now with the global events of COVID-19, we see a new trend for 2021 and beyond: #smallgrouptravel which we love, support, and welcome with open arms.
Finally, we begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel as many of the scuba destinations, mostly in the Caribbean and the Pacific, are setting safe COVID-19 protocols for us visitors and their locals. And we are ready when you are ready to take your next scuba trip!
