Open Water Diver Certification
Flexible Learning:
Complete 5–10 hours of PADI eLearning at your own pace before pool training.

Receive a PADI referral valid anywhere in the world to complete your open water dives.
Step 1: Complete the Academics and Pool Training
Start your scuba certification by completing the PADI eLearning course — about 5 to 10 hours of online study — before attending your confined water (pool) training.
Through the PADI eLearning system, you’ll learn all the essential scuba diving principles and concepts needed for in-water sessions.
Once you complete your online course, you’ll receive your Open Water Diver eLearning access directly in your inbox.
Your confined water training takes place on Saturdays at the Brooklyn Sports Club pool

Please note: Due to post-COVID health guidelines, you must bring your own mask and snorkel or purchase them from Rey Diving. No other equipment purchase is required.
After completing your pool session, you’ll receive a PADI Referral Form signed by your instructor, allowing you to complete your open water checkout dives at your preferred dive destination — anywhere in the world.
Step 2: Open Water Checkout Dives
Once you’ve successfully finished your confined water training, you’ll be ready for your open water checkout dives and final certification (separate fee applies).
You can complete your dives by joining one of our local or Caribbean scuba trips, or at any PADI dive center worldwide using your referral form.
The PADI Referral is valid globally, giving you the flexibility to finish your certification wherever you choose.
