OPEN WATER DIVER CERTIFICATION

Step 1. Take the PADI eLearning and the pool session

Step 2. Open Water Checkout dives

Step 1. Complete the academics through the PADI eLearning system
(about 5-10 hours of online work) then come to the pool
for your confined water training

In the PADI eLearning program you will learn the required scuba principles and concepts needed to

continue with your in-water training. The eLearning has to be completed before any in-water training.

At checkout you will receive your Open Water Diver (eLearning) in your inbox.

The confined water training is conducted on Saturdays at the Brooklyn Sports Club pool ꟷ 1540 Van Siclen Ave. Brooklyn, NY.

Registration fee of $439 + eLearning $220, includes all confined water training with a professional PADI Instructor, your logbook, your PADI referral, and scuba equipment rentals -tanks, BCD, regulator, and fins

(you are required to bring your own mask and snorkel, or purchase them from Rey Diving. You are not

required to purchase any other equipment)

After the pool session, we provide everybody with the PADI referral —signed by your instructor

so you can present it at your dive destination (anywhere in the world) and complete

your open water checkout dives and certification.

Step 2. Open Water Checkout Dives

Available locally from May, 2024

After successfully completing your confined water training (pool session) you will be prepared to

take your open water checkout dives and certification. After the pool session we provide everybody

with the PADI referral (signed by your instructor) so you can take your open water dives and certification

whether you join one of our trips locally, or to the Caribbean, or on your own dive trip.

The PADI referral is valid anywhere in the world.
